Capacity Building

 Education Management Information System (EMIS) 2014 suggests that the ratio of pupils for every qualified teacher in rural areas of Gambia is 1:46. Overcrowding, high student to teacher ratio and low teaching standards all contribute to minimal attainment and progression rates.

Our aim is to invest in teacher training and support, salaries, curriculum and teachers’ development, ensuring suitable numbers of qualified teaching staff to enable high quality learning.
