No child should be too hungry to learn, play and grow.
With your help, we will provide food and school materials to some of Africa’s most vulnerable children born into poverty.
After a year of traditional funding being crippled, with many donors indicating a lack of funds and fundraising events cancelled, help from individual donations is our main hope.
That is why, this Christmas we invite you to support our appeal to provide 100 care packages for families and children born into poverty in The Gambia to make the beginning of 2021 a little brighter.
We will ensure 100 families in need are provided with food parcels in addition to essential learning supplies for their children, helping them to stay in education, dramatically increasing their life chances and choices.
Each package will include basic items to feed a family and help a child return to school not facing hunger:
- Rice, flour and cooking oil
- A school set (including note books, a geometry set, pens and coloured pencils, a geometry set)
- School toys (balls, rackets and skipping ropes)
With just as little as £10 you can support a child who missed out on months of education with some back-to-school essentials and basic food.
The great thing about donating to our charity is that every penny goes directly to support the lives of children and families in need and you can see the difference your donation makes.
We understand you might not be in a position to donate this year. You can still get involved by sharing our campaign on your social media or get together with your colleagues, friends and families to help fundraise for our cause. This way you are also helping to protect a generation of children born into poverty and their families from the devastating impacts of this pandemic.
Thank you for your support, especially in a year that has had such a devastating impact on fundraising activities.
